Steady as he goes ...

Hola.

I went into a bit of a cave after Barcelona. I worried for Rafa. But it's another tournament, another clay court ... "Don't worry, he is Nadal" was what I once had printed on a t-shirt. So it's about time I picked up and believed it.
"I managed to maintain a good level throughout the match. It's not been incredible, but I think it's an acceptable level. I'm happy with the level I had today. I'll try to just step up again tomorrow. It's an important victory today. I made it to the quarter-finals. At the moment, we have to be happy about everything that I achieve. I have to be happy about all the victories. They are really valuable. I'm happy, and let's try to be ready for tomorrow."
Kind of sums it up really and I don't have much else to add. I kind of thought he played better yesterday - if that makes sense - because although it seems like a straightforward victory, he didn't get any rhythm. Rafa probably has a different prospect playing Dimitrov tomorrow, and was it last year that he gave him a bit of go at Monte Carlo or the year before? Memory like a sieve these days. Anyhow, Rafa just seems more "on" if you know what I mean.

But as Rafa says, let's try to be ready for tomorrow.  VAMOS!!
