Rafa brings his happiness to Thailand ...

Awwww ... that's what a nice, old Thai bloke said at the airport as Thailand welcomed Rafa for the first time in their country.

Well ... after all the excitement of the US Open, Rafa returns to the Tour as the Far East swing begins for him in Bangkok. This is a tournie that Rafa has twice before scheduled, but the Summer exertions have always caught up with him and he's had to withdraw through some sort of injury. Not so now, and he was greeted at the airport like some sort of royalty ... which he is to us, of course. Our own little Prince.

Anyhow ... Rafa arrives here early as he has been joined by a number of pals for a little bit of R&R before the tournament starts proper for him next week. They are staying at the plush resort of Hua Hin ... and security is obviously doing their job really well as pictures of Rafa's holiday japes are all but non existent. However, we hear he has been training, along with sleeping in, missing the elephant ride, and I think he dibbed out of the wine-tasting ... but at least his pals will be having a jolly good time!!

As for the tournament itself, we see the welcome and long awaited return of Juan-Martin Del Potro back to the Tour, and Rafa is scheduled to play JMDP in the quarters, should they both make it there. Other participants are the charming bromance duo of Feli and Nando. What I wouldn't give for a paradise beach shot of that lot in their brash Hawaiians ...
