The Windy City ...

The British economy took a bit of nosedive today, as me and my pals - rather than doing any actual work - were too busy staring at our computer screens waiting for the Livescores to tick over with the points, and with me sneakily having the match on my phone whilst trying to hide it from the youngsters to whom I should set a better example before giving it up as a bad job because the televised match was a point behind the Livescores.  Jeez Rafa!  You are going to either kill us or get us sacked and I'm not sure which will come first!!

But I'm home and settled now and watching the match.  And it all seems like lovely business as usual at the moment, with Rafa securing a great break, getting a set point on a stupendous backhand volley/smash/lob (whatever you want to call it), but I've just paused play now as I type this and before I watch him serving for the set.

Where it all seemed to go wrong.

We've been theorising about what's going on with Rafa.  Whether he shouldn't have played in Brazil after his back injury and if that has thrown him off his serve, whether it's all between the ears and Toni should earn his money as a coach (oh hang on ...) as he finds a way to drag him out of it.  What is it? What is Much Ado About Rafa??

There were obvious poor conditions today, but as Rafa finally won the match by a 6-2, 6-1 scoreline in the second and third sets, you'd be excused for thinking losing a TB set was just a blip.  Anyhow, I'll get back to watching and see what I think.  I'm not sure that I'll be back again tonight to add some more, so I'll see you tomorrow for ...

Freaky Friday.

Where Rafa gets one of the "big names" to play in the quarter-finals.  Any everyone else ... doesn't.

Ciao a tutti!!
