Geeky, techy stuff ...

Have we or have not enjoyed the fun of Rafa's holiday pics this week?  And long may it continue, and long may I be able to bring it to you.

The thing is, I'm a complete technophobe, and I've no idea how I've managed to do a blog for this long anyway.  But I'm facing a little problem.  Whilst I use Google's Blogger to do this little project, I've always posted it under my own domain name of wooffiesrafaramblings.com for which I have to pay a little fee each year.  But the trouble is, I've received an email to say that the debit details that are automatically used to take payment for this domain name have expired, and so I need to amend them on the Admin. page.

And herein lies my issue.

I click on the link the email provided to take me to the Admin. page, I'm required to log on, so I input my Google user name and password and ... nada.  I'm taken to a page stating "invalid request".  Now I know my user name and password are correct, and input correctly, cos I'm using them now ... but I simply cannot work out how to get to the Admin. page.  :(  Each time I get the "invalid request" page.  I've gone through the "trouble shooting" things to try and resolve it, but nothing equates to the issue I'm having.  I mean ... why can't I just send someone an email!!  GAAH!!

So readers, I'm getting quite concerned that wooffiesrafaramblings.com is going to disappear.  :(((  Now I seriously hope that my blog doesn't disappear altogether with it, but I'm assuming that it just resorts back to the Blogger url so you should be able to access it via ...

wooffiesrafaramblings.blogspot.com

I'm letting you know in case we lose each other.  *wails* *cries*  Why does everything have to be so difficult and why can't I understand it ??!!!???

Anyhow, I'll keep on trying to sort this domain name thingy out because I want to keep my .com but if in the meantime you can't access this blog that way, try the url I've listed above.

I thank you.  :)))

  1. I wish I had an answer. Is there no telephone number attached to any part of your domain registry site? Good luck, hon.

  2. Aah Mel ... the days of being able to speak to an actual human being when you had a problem. The domain name is registered with one company who then pass it on to Google's Blogger, so it's only Google that can sort it. It's so annoying that I can't work it out. Sigh ...

  5. If your domain name is registered with someone other than Google - then the domain renewal would normally be with them, not Google. Don't know if your situation is different.
