Rafa sees off Gulbis ...

I'm only just catching up on my recording of last night's match, so I'm posting this without it finishing.

All I can say is that's tennis.  It's scoring system meant at 30-30 in the first set when Rafa threw in two bad points meant what was an even first set was gone from him.  The second had its topsy turvy moments ... but he won it.

I'm watching the third set, and Rafa had moments where he could have been broken, so it was obviously close right to the end.  Gulbis has never beaten Rafa, but for whatever reason, he's always proved a tricky customer for him.  The thing is ... Rafa is still better.

He faces Feds tonight in the final of the quarters.  Is this a match too soon in his recovery?  Perhaps ... but then I thought the Gulbis match might be seeing as he's in a bit of form.  We'll see.  But I hope Rafa tonks him.  *unjinx*
