I enjoyed finding those pictures of a young Rafa in Australia 2005 which I posted the other day. And I'm enjoying these too ... of Rafa winning the French Open in 2006. Thankfully, I was around to see that. I'm loving Rafa's clay encrusted shirt in the top picture ... its like a piece of modern art. Painted with passion and tons of energy.
Rafa was entirely emotional in this 2006 victory because with his foot injury that had him out at the start of the year and him missing the Australian Open, he wondered if he'd ever play tennis again. And he also didn't know if he'd ever again lift a Major. He did.
I'd love this to be prophetic and for #hi8tory to repeat itself ... and wouldn't it be brilliant if after all these long months, we see Rafa staring down on that French Open trophy again?
