Either you stop ...

... or you'll never be Number 1 - doctor tells Nadal.

Another inflammatory headline, but Quality Sport magazine are promoting an interview with Rafa's doctor. However, I think that on-line, its subscription only ... and ummm ... I don't expect to be able to pick up a copy on my local railway station.  ;)

If anything comes out about what was said over the next couple of days, I'll try to bring it here. Although I'm not hopeful that there's actually much more to say than what we know already.

  1. I'd just like to know whether Rafa gave his permission for this article. I'd not want my doctor publishing my private conversations with him about my health.

    1. Whilst I've seen some picture shots of the article on another site, I've yet to find any translation anywhere. According to some Spanish speakers, the headline should read, stop or you won't return to No. 1. I do understand what you're saying, and I've a couple of thoughts. Dr Sanchez will like to promote himself as due to his work, he's probably helped a number of sportsmen and lets be honest, he could have, in fact, saved Rafa's career. But this magazine is relatively new, has only been going for a year and now is subscription only. I do feel a lot of the time that "journalists" take from so many sources and make it sound like it was a personal interview. This article could perhaps be nothing other than soundbites from the presentation that Dr Sanchez gave a while ago. I can't see him publicly saying anything that is private regarding Rafa as he would be breaking his code of ethics, would he not? Anyhow, if something does come out, I'll link it.
