Never stop climbing those stands, Rafa ...

It's my lunch break, so I'm just reading through Twitter and enjoying the exchange of pictures between the girls that are on Pinterest.

I've signed up ;) and I can't believe the loveliness that is on there, and these pictures are just an example.

And maybe its because we've subsequently found out more information of what Rafa was going through during the French Open ... and maybe its because he won in spite of the pain and what he was enduring ... and maybe its because yesterday we were looking at a picture of one of the world's finest athletes on a doctor's couch whilst he undergoes treatment to hopefully get him recovered and fit again ... I feel like my heart is in a vice.

And maybe its because a certain individual expressed that he would never, ever climb the stands to celebrate with his nearest and dearest upon victory - like its almost disrespectful to the opponent. Well each to their own, you do it your way. You might like to put on jackets with the fresh, new number of Slams you've just won in the face of your opponent. I prefer this.

Never, ever change Rafa. Stay the way you are. This is what I love about him ... regardless of the result, Rafa Nadal never leaves a court without a piece of himself still being on it. He'll fight till he can't fight any more, and the raw passion and emotion he showed on that Monday afternoon has left me tearful over my cheese and onion crisps. :'(

We miss you Rafa. I hope with all my heart that we'll see you express yourself like this many times in the future. Vamos!!

No one -- NO ONE -- looking at that remarkable journey into the stands can be unmoved, can misunderstand the love and support that underlie his total commitment to victory. The entire saga of the Return of the King culminates here.

May he heal fully, to have many more such occasions to celebrate -- from our lips to G*d's ears.

    1. Blimey ... I'm proper crying now! The utter heartfelt emotion expressed here. It was so, so amazing.

And yeah, whatever your creed ... please God that we see this over again.

      Thanks for your lovely comment.

  2. just lovely, lovely, pics, such naked emotion, they all mean so much more than simply finally overcoming Djokovic in a GS Final, and we now know why. Oh I just cannot wait for him to return and to see many more victory celebrations like this one, and they will be all the sweeter because of what he will have had to overcome to get there.

  3. these are lovely pictures and reminders of that wonderful victory for Rafa and the dance with his family & friends in the stands. He stands for what is right about him, not looking for approval otherwise. A strong young man, who knows who he is. Emotional day and looking again, for me. patzin

  4. My goodness...thank you for another wonderful article about this dear man. You really have a way of expressing what we all feel. I've decided that the "haters" just can't bear to see such honesty & love from an athlete. I'm just grateful that we get to & I, too, pray we get to see much more of it. Hug & Kiss your family & friends, Rafa, we'll cheer all the louder for you.

  5. I never tire of seeing these photos. Especially the one with Pau.

Seems all the hatahs are missing Rafa as well as I am reading on various forums that they often visit this lovely site for their Rafa fix ;-)

    1. Well that’s very interesting to know, Cats. Who would think after all this time that I still attract my own personal internet stalkers? I mean, why come to an obvious fan site about a player they clearly despise run a fan they value beneath contempt? Who does it actually say more about?

Anyhow … a hearty *wave* to them all. I’m secretly preening that I and my little blog hold such a fascination for them. Glad they’re visiting here often and loving my work.

    2. I think they visit here and talk more about Rafa than they do the players they are so called fans of. Very strange behaviour. Still, good to know you have a following outside of Rafa fans. And you know you've made it when you have your own stalkers ;-)

  6. My all time favourite is Rafa hopped on to his uncle's lap, kind like a child was so excited with tears rolling on his cheek, I won't be able to describe those emotions and feelings. That was the sweetest ever scene appeared on TV screen I've ever watched!

GET WELL SOON AND COME BACK RAFA!!!

And thank you woofie for all your hardworked, really appreciated!
