Rafa has been voted Spanish Sportsman of 2011 by his fellow sportsmen. He received 17 votes, ahead of Juan Carlos Navarro (15 votes) and Xavi (13 votes).

I'm afraid you'll have to put the El Pais article through a mangle, but it largely discusses 2011 and the Djokovic factor. I like how it ends though ...
