So much has been said about this song over the past 24 hours. It seems that a special "Himno" was created for the Davis Cup team, which they obviously know off by heart, and which they all gave a rendition of, accompanied by mucho jumping up and down with one arm in the air (which is obviously the signature move of these boys) before each of them went out to play. It was even sung to Rafa yesterday before his pivotal match.
I'm liking the above clip because the singer is doing his warbling at the Plaza d'Espana, which was a beautiful find and a wonderful place that Rafan and I enjoyed when we visited Seville as part of our little trip to Andalacia in September.
During the on court celebrations yesterday, it seems that Feli sang the song himself for us, but sadly there doesn't seem to be a clip around just yet, but the one below sees him with the mike in his hand, along with the boys celebrating their success.
This link also shows some more of the locker room celebrations, where the boys sing that old faithful ... "Campeones, campeones, ole ole ole ole ..." Nice ... ;)
