Seventh time lucky???

I don't have a lot of time to write a suitable post today as I need to get ready for my trip to Spain. Save to say that I'm sure you all watched the match and have read many of the reports and comments about it all. To those comments, I don't know that I really have that much to add.

But Rafa played much better than in the Wimbledon final, and the courage he showed in the third set was tremendous. He needed that early break in the fourth, and a tip top timing break wasn't helpful either ... but he showed courage and fight, honour and commitment ... and for that, we have to be very proud.

I wish he had a serve. I wish he had developed that one shot much earlier in his career and I believe it is the key of his unravelling against Djokovic. All his good work when breaking him, all comes asunder when he stands on that baseline, about to toss the ball.

So I said this will be short, therefore I shall leave you with something that our friend Womble posted on the thread today. Read it and think about it. Carry it in your hearts and know that it represents all that our lovely Rafa is about ...
"It is inevitable that some defeat will enter even the most victorious life. The human spirit is never finished when it is defeated - it is finished when it surrenders."
VAMOS!!
