Rafa decks Del Potro ...

In spite of having a break point in JMDP's opening service game, Rafa was completely nervoos at the beginning of this match and quickly found himself 3-0 down. I think this is perhaps because they've not played for well over a year, JMDP had beaten him 3 times in 2009 and Rafa just didn't really know how to play him.

He got on the board and started to find some rhythm, particularly on the forehand which had been way off and at 4-1, Rafa started to rumble. He took 5 straight games with some great play to take the first set 6-4.

His good play continued and via another break, he found himself with match points and took the match.

I still think its a good result for JMDP to get to the semi of a Masters after his injury, but I'm pleased to see a fit Rafa starting to work him out. Rafa faces the in-form Novak in the final. Can he be the man to deliver Nole's first defeat of the season. Here's hoping ...

COME ON RAFA, YOU CAN DO IT YOU CAN DO IT ...

Match highlights ...

Lovely interview at the end of this (even if it is with Croft) ...
