Today the draw was made for the WTF, and there was some unexpected twists and some usual occurances.
Firstly with the draw - the usual occurance - and it was a typical *cakewalk* one handed out to Rafa. Joking, folks. He has been drawn along with Novak Djokovic, Tomas Berdych and Andy Roddick. That of course means that the so-called "Group of Death" houses Feds, Murray, The Sod and little Daveed. On the face of it, whilst Rafa can have problems with Nole, on hard, and indoors, lets be mindful that Nole could just perhaps have one eye on the Davis Cup final. Berdych and Roddick are hardly showing the form of late that should trouble Rafa, so maybe this year he has his chance of making it through the 'round robin' stage.
The unexpected twist is that whilst Rafa is in Group A and the ATP's Number 1 player, you would expect his group to go first and him having the draw of the night match. Not a chance of it. No ... his group will play second, hence finish the round robin stage second, hence play 3 consecutive days. Murray opens the tournament with Feds taking the showpiece evening match.

Whilst I'm trying not to get wound up about this, I have been reminded that it does give Rafa a further day's practice which may come in useful. Lets stick to the positive ...
Here's the first two days Order of Play ...
