Rafa has updated his website with an official statement on his lastest injury ...
"I cannot play because of tendinitis in my left shoulder. I need to rest for six or seven days. It is nothing to be worried about but the doctor told me I have to spend those days doing intensive treatment and functional rehabilitation with physiotherapy," the Spanish player said in a statement.
"I'm very sorry for the tournament organizers, who've always treated me in a very special way, and especially sorry for all my fans in France and in Paris that I won't be able to be with them in one of my favorite cities in the world," he added.

It doesn't sound so bad - fingers crossed - and hopefully a bit of rest will do him fine. I remember putting a load of topsoil down on a new garden and then having to rake it and rake it and rake to get all the rubbish out. The strain on my wrists resulted in tendonitis that BURNED ... but it eventually went away. I'm not using my wrists day to day in my subject sport though.
Poor old Rafa. The first time in his career he actually gets a serve, and does for his body. Jeez ...
Here's an IB3 video clip which is reporting the injury ...
