Rafa defeated his friend and fellow Spaniard - a determined David Ferrer - in a 7-6(5), 6-4 straights sets win to advance on to the quarter-finals. It was another topsy-turvy affair with Rafa edging out to a 3-1 start in the opener, only to be pegged back to 3-3 and another tie break ensued ... this time with Rafa winning although it was far from convincing. One break of serve was all he needed in the second, but he's through and he's still there fighting ... unlike Feds, Murray and Nole.
Jo-Wilfrid Tsonga is up next, against whom Rafa has a winning 4-1 head-to-head and has won their last 3 encounters. I can't stand this arrogant man who had one great result against Rafa and has pranced around the court pulling silly faces and performing victory dances on the back of it ever since. I hope Rafa smacks him ...
