Wooffie's been to Queen's ...

Shall we gloss over the fact that Rafa wasn't there? OK then ... fellow Rafateer Rafandready and I met up, had a little weep, and then got on with enjoying the day.

We had a lovely time in the sunshine watching Blake & Querry, Murray & some bloke, little chicken legs Simon (and seriously folks, he DOES have chicken legs) and the mad, head-bashing Youzhny ... although it wasn’t THE mad Russian that I had so hoped to see. The gorgeous, sexy Marat Safin had withdrawn through injury the day before, thereby dashing my one and only hope of ever seeing him live. DAMN YOU MARAT ... and if he pulled his back because of the proverbial, I damn him even more!!!

Anyhow, the match of the day was Roddick & Hewitt, which was thoroughly enjoyable and a lovely display of grass court tennis. That service action ... wow!!!

I was also sitting very close to the noisy terrace, and spent most of the day going, “there’s so-and-so” and “ooo .. . there’s so-and-so”. The luminaries that I saw were ... get this ... Feli Lopez ... TWICE!!!! and , Karlovic , Murray, sweetie Jamie Murray, Tipsarevic, Ljubicic and Querry, lovely Auntie Sue Barker, John Lloyd, Andrew Castle, Mark Petchy and Pat Cash ... oh, and Murray’s Mum and girlfriend and last but not least ... Tim Henman’s Dad.

Nice to know I could still enjoy the day regardless ...
