FeliWatch ...

Still dressed in his stylish outfit with jaunty scarf, Feli left Colombia and one lucky tennis fan had an encounter which I've quoted below. I am just hooting that Feli - ever the vain one - actually took off his glasses for the photograph! :D Enjoy the read ...

He’s not photogenic at all. HE IS FLAWLESS WHEN YOU SEE HIM LIVE,

How I met Feli…

My aunt and cousin who live in the US were going back today so my mom and I took them to the airport. We had lunch with them and then it was time for them to go through security and all that stuff so we said goodbye and before we left the airport I told my mom I wanted a McDonalds ice cream. So we were walking back to the McDonalds and well I always watch people, I really like it, especially when it’s a good looking guy.

So while we were walking this guy was coming from downstairs and I looked at him and my first thought was “omg this guy is hot” as I kept looking at him I was like “omg I know this guy” and then I said “mom I swear that guy is Feliciano Lopez” so my mom said like “which one?” - “the one with the Louis Vuitton bag” (yes Feli has a LV bag and then he had a leather thing for his racket and the passport in his hand).

So my mom was like “let’s go and get an autograph for your collection” but I was like “mom, what if it’s not Feli?” and my mom said “don’t be shy, I’ll ask and if it isn’t then it doesn’t matter”

Then we went next to him and the Colombian (I suppose it was someone from the tournament helping him) and my mom said “excuse me, you are Feliciano Lopez, aren’t you?” and he was like “yes, I am” so my mom said “could you give us an autograph?” and he was super nice and said “sure” and took the pen and the notebook my mom gave him and signed and while he was signing I asked “Could I please get a picture with you?” and he said “of course” so I took my iphone and gave it to my mom and she took a picture of him signing (excuse her she’s not very experienced so it’s blurry, actually all of them are blurry) and then Feli asked “what’s your name?” and I told him so he wrote “Para Ana Maria con cariño” which is like to Ana Maria with affection (?) (or with love, I don’t know) and then he took off his glasses and posed for the pic with me. Then we said thanks and we left.

So we were going the other way with silly smiles on our faces until I realized I hadn’t got my ice cream so we came back and went to McDonalds and there was another tennis player but I didn’t know him (don’t forget Bogotá is a challenger so people here aren’t well ranked except the Colombians and Feli) and then I was on the queue and Feli was sitting there lol. FELI IN MCDONALDS OK?

Then we left and that’s it. Hope you enjoyed my Feli story.
