There was a fantastic article today published in the New York Times. It broke down Rafa's game and just why he is so damn good on clay. Even more interesting considering today's match. But notwithstanding that, I loved the quote from José Higueras ...
“Rafa’s best attribute on clay is his least noticeable. He has the best head in tennis. Or maybe in sports.”
I thought it worth linking because as we know - as Rafa fans - we are nothing but silly fangirls who can't see beyond his smile, his left bicep or the inner thighs that seem to be oft mentioned in this article *thud*. So see this as my gift to you as part of your much needed education ...

Thanks for posting this link. The article is interesting especially in its analysis of his movement. I like Gimelstob's comment about his movement being artistic - it's true but so rarely applied to Rafa. I have often marveled at his core strength. I dance and do Pilates, and you can see through his strength and balance that he does resistance training, which pays off enormously on clay, especially with the sliding.
