Rafa's Knees vs. The Media Machine ...

Its been a busy old year, hasn't it?

Well, not really from the tennis perspective if you're Rafa. I mean, an exho, Doha, the Australian Open, Indian Wells and Miami ... he's hardly scratched the surface. And yet he's filled the media with enough headlines to keep them going for a full year. It started, of course, because of that individual having the year of his life. No-one else was good enough to actually face him in all of those finals - seemingly a moot point - but in many quarters it was met with ... dare I say it? A bit of glee. And as is usually the case, you go from Hero to Zero in one fell swoop. Its happened to Rafa before, and its certainly happening to him again.

I mean ... we have the mental demons, to time-wasting, to MTOs, to drugs slurs, to fake injuries, the Players' Council, self-serving ATP changes, pre-planned injury lay offs, talking too much about injuries, PR leaks, PRP injections, unnecessary tournament withdrawals, gamesmanship, fake humility ... AND ITS ONLY APRIL!!

We were reminded how things go around and come around by a very well timed tweet by @DirtyOldBroad tonight ...
... and even though the article was written 3 years ago, it holds as much weight now as it did then.

So I would ask you click on the link and read it. It resonates as much now as it ever did.

Get fit, Rafa!!
