Well its a story that's been doing the rounds for a while now - Rafa vs. A.N. Other - at Real Madrid's Bernabeu Stadium in the break between Wimbledon and the Olympic Games. Its always been in aid of Rafa's and Real Madrid's charities, but who Rafa's opponent would be has always been the subject of rumour.
Roger Federer was always the name in the frame, then it was David Ferrer, and although Rafa gave us this cryptic clue today via Facebook ...
"Good morning ! Back to practicing very happy because the Rafa Nadal Foundation's event has been confirmed at Bernabeu! I'll tell you something about this..."
... and then he doesn't. But its now been confirmed on Real Madrid's website that the hoped for 80,000 sell out will be against Novak Djokovic.
I can't say I'm very enthused about this, but the end game is about something else.
Here's some of the good that Rafa's charity does ...
