Tricky against Giraldo ...

It was another few games watching Rafa whilst I had my cup of tea this morning, but it doesn't seem like he had it easy. Giraldo played hard and flat against him and was stunning on some of his forehands ... usual script for these players against Rafa, eh? The first set went to a tie-break, and Rafa squandered a 3-0 lead but he somehow squeaked through and took it 8-6.

It then became business as usual against a player like Giraldo, as his level dropped and he lost his opening service game for Rafa to lead 2-0. And then whot? Yep, Rafa lost his own. A break back again though took him through and he won the second set and the match, 6-3. Mardy Fish is up next who obviously had his only victory against him in Cincy. A tough test for Rafa, so let's see where his level is at right now.
