I cannot being to express what a joy it was to watch Rafa last night. From the word go, he was on ... game face, determination, aggression ... you name it, he played it.
Maybe Andy Roddick was something less than a 100%, but on that display, Rafa certainly wasn't. I have not seen Rafa totally destroy a player in ages and you wouldn't think this was the same guy who has struggled with his confidence for the best part of the year. Can we safely say that finally ... he has arrived?
The scoreline makes great reading for us Rafafans ... 6-2, 6-1, 6-3. Even Toni seemed satisfied. A truly awesome display.
But ... as I type this to be honest, the main event is just around the corner. A semi-final battle against Andy Murray. Please Rafa, try not to be nervous and bring some of what you brought to the court last night to this.
