Rafa's rant ...

Its been an absolute pathetic day at Flushing Meadows. The rain came. Well ... it was to be expected, but they got the blowers out and the squidgy mops and declared the courts playable so they sent the players out.

Rafa was late. Quelle surprise, but it seems that (for him), he didn't have enough time to get himself properly taped up and he was wasping over that and wasping that he didn't think the courts were safe enough and angry that they were ever out there in the first place ... and so his mindset and attitude were all wrong. He soon went 3-0 down. But then the rain came again and the players were called off court and it seems that he, Andy Murray and Andy Roddick have given the tournament referee a right rollicking in his office. Rafa was interviewed by Pam Shriver (above), although he seemed quite controlled in delivery, inspite of reports of a RafaRant *soxy*. He just believes that its all about money, that the players are the bit part in all of this and its wrong.

Serena Williams tweeted her supported as a fellow booty brother. Hehe.

The mens' matches have now been cancelled for the day. So if they manage to start play tomorrow and Rafa is successful, he will have to play every single day up to the final over the best of 5 sets.

Pants, isn't it??

He actually got much more animated when he was interviewed by Sky Sports, so take a look at it here and see what you think ...
