A Wimbledon Adventure ...

Now ... I think I may have casually mentioned on here that I was successful in the Wimbledon ballot and have tickets for Court 1 on the Friday of the first week. Now then ... I am (a) hoping that Wimbledon tradition prevails and the current Champion, ie. Rafa, plays on Monday, Wednesday and Friday; (b) hoping that the weather will be kind and that this said tradition does in fact prevail and; (c) praying with all my heart that they schedule the said Champion, ie. Rafa, off Centre Court for just one itsy bitsy match and that I get to see him play.

Not much to ask, huh?

The way the ballot is set up is that there is seriously only one way you can guarantee that you will see Rafa play. And that's if you have tickets for Centre Court on the opening day of Monday when the current Champion takes that walk of honour of opening up the whole tournament. Sadly as we all know, Rafa couldn't do that in 2009 due to his injury, and that Twonk of Twonkington - Federer, in that RIDICULOUS get up - did it instead. *shakes fist*

Anyhow, some of my Rafateer friends are made of stern stuff - ie. Rafan - and have decided that they, ie. she ... will succumb to one of Wimbledon's many other ancient traditions ... and that is to camp overnight in order to secure the ticket that she wants. Yes indeedy ...

Rafan is going to join the queue on the Sunday before Wimbers starts in order to get that golden Wimbledon ticket of seeing Rafa walk out as Champion on the first day !!!!!! *screams*

Good on her! It has, however, caused much mirth amongst us, some of which I would like to share with you on this blog. The first being ... THE TENT THAT SHE WILL ACTUALLY SPEND THE NIGHT IN, IN ORDER TO SEE RAFA PLAY!!

Is she bonkers? Yes. But who else would have brought us Pom Pom Ahoy!! ??

Stay tuned for all the developments as they happen. But as the first taster, I leave you with Rafan's ACTUAL ever so pretty, floral tent ... awwww ...

Personally ... we were all convinced she was sleeping in this ...
